Managing Trackbacks and Comments
This page will explain how to delete, approve and just generally manage comments and trackbacks.
Accessing comments and trackbacks to manage them is easy, if you want to manage comments click on Comments in the home menu and to manage trackbacks click on Trackbacks in the home menu, both share a similar interface and the methods for management are almost the same.


Clicking on the deny button again will remove the block on the host and you will be able to receive comments from that source again.
*Once a trackback has been blocked it will be displayed as being blocked in the Host column and the host will be added to a blacklist. Any future trackbacks from the IP of the blocked trackback will also be blocked, but existing trackbacks must automatically be removed. To unblock a trackback, just click on the "Blocked" button again.

Comments and Comments List

1. The default number for the comments displayed is 20, but you can choose to display between 10 - 100 per page.
2. Status
The approval status for comments, comments will either be displayed as awaiting approval or approved, but non-public comments will be displayed as being private.3. Blacklist
The IP address for comments blocked using the Host column will be added to a blacklist.4. Check box
You can simultaneously delete or approve all comments by using the check boxes. Click on the Select All or Clear All Selected to check or un-check all boxes at once.Date
This is the time and date of when a trackback or comment was received. You can change the date display to Date Only or Day and Time by clicking on Date at the top of the column.5. Comment Content
This button allows you to check the content of a comment, comments with a key icon are secret comments and can only be read by the blog administrator.6. Delete a Comment
To delete a comment click on the X in the Del. column. Please remember that deleted comments cannot be restored.7. Email Icon
An envelope next to a comment indicates that the poster has attached their email address, by clicking on the envelope your email service will open and you can reply to them.Accept or Deny
Denying a comment will mean that spam and other unwanted comments from the same source will not reach you. By clicking on Deny and confirming it, the comment will be displayed as being denied and the host of the comment will be added to a blacklist. (Comments that have already reached you must be deleted)Clicking on the deny button again will remove the block on the host and you will be able to receive comments from that source again.
Host
Clicking on Host will display the comment poster's host.Approve
Click on Settings > Blog Settings > Comment Settings and set Display received comments to Display received comments after approval. With this setting, comments will not be displayed until they are approved and will be displayed on your Comment screen as Waiting Approval.Managing Trackbacks
